4ZZZ RADIO REVERSAL DISCUSSION HERE

POWER, PROPERTY & THE POLITICS OF "LIVING DIFFERENTLY"

Radio Reversal is a show that subjects aspects of everyday life to historical, political, theoretical, cheeky, irreverent, high brow, low brow, eye brow, warm-hearted analysis. Our aim is to see the world more clearly, think about what we'd like it to become, and how we can make that happen.  We think that discussing these sorts of ideas is one way to lessen the alienation that affects many of us trying to make sense of a world that so often makes no sense of us.

This morning Anna & Jonno are bring you some choice excerpts from an art exhibition panel they spoke at last Saturday, alongside artist Sarah Poulgrain and environmental planner, geographer and community organiser Dr. Nat Osborne. The forum is part of Sarah's work-in-progress exhibition for her current work, Dream Boat. As part of that art project, Sarah is collaborating with a bunch of artists, organisers, and tradespeople to build a houseboat and floating art gallery.

Over the course of the show, you'll hear the four of us chatting about the challenges and possibilities of learning to live differently within the constraints of colonial capitalism. So...what have Anna and Jonno learned from six years of living on a houseboat? What has Nat learned from her ongoing cohousing experiments in multi-generational living? How has the experience of building and organising a space like Wreckers shaped Sarah's life? And does Sarah's project mean we will all live in floating art galleries in the future?
